Tribal earrings

The Awajun community is one of the 71 ethnic groups in Peru, the country with the largest ethnic and linguistic diversity in America. Awajun women collected different seeds, such as kumpia, wayampai, chichao, and tuju from the lush Amazon rainforest and handcrafted these beautiful pieces.

The Awajun live in Northeastern Peru, in the Amazonas region. They live in remote areas of the rainforest, cultivating their artistry while generating a sustainable economy in balance with their environment.

Through the sale of their crafts, Awajun women support their families and send their children to school. Comfortable and chic, this necklace would be a beautiful accessory for daytime or nighttime outings.

The earrings are made from sterling silver
